Default Joint Ventures

Hello. As anyone here ever started a joint venture with someone you know well? What was that like? Is it a good idea? Maybe you don't think it is such a good idea?

Give feedback on your joint ventures, and maybe inspire more members to start one.

Thanks,
Joshua.

Default re Joint Ventures. are they good or bad

Joint ventures have their ups and downs.

I require a retainer to ensure the customers will put forth the proper effort.

JV's can be very profitable for all parties. Ther are 3 main types of JV's assides from simply financing, what kind are you inquiring about?

1- Your customer list with outside product
2- Your product with outside customer list
3- you control the deal, with outside product and outside customer list

Feel free to reach me with any questions..

That post gave me some understanding of what they are. However can't you have a half and half thing where you own half each and do half the work each?

I suppose you could. However problems if someone wanted to own the full business. The best would be 51/49. Less problems would happen that way.

Not a proper fifity fifty thing no. However I have had third party work. Where I get the customers, and someone else does the creation of the product, and someone else does something differnt. Etc....

I am the same as William.

I haven't never actually owned something with someone. However I have done deals that involves more then one person to provide the service.

I myself have tried joint ventures. However from what I have discovered I would be better suited with my solo ventures. My personal opinion.

I would prefer to own my businesses myself. However I think if it was a relative I would be willing to go joint.

Depends I suppose.
